The global metabolomics market will experience double-digit growth over the next five years, with its annual revenue increasing from $343 million in 2012 to $1.5 billion in 2017, predicts a new report from MarketsandMarkets. According to the report, biomarker discovery services and toxicity testing are driving much of the growth in metabolomic data analysis tools and software. Other high growth areas include nutraceuticals, plant genomics, nutri-genomics and systems biology.
