The Biomarker Europe Summit 2013 will take place on 9–10 October 2013 in Berlin, Germany, and will address the latest developments in biomarkers, from discovery to translation to commercialization. The summit will comprise two co-located conferences that will focus on different stages of biomarker development.

One conference is entitled Biomarkers in Drug Discovery & Development and includes sessions on topics such as biomarker discovery and identification strategies, biomarkers to validate potential drug targets, and statistics methods underlying successful biomarker discovery and validation. The other conference is entitled Biomarkers in Diagnostics and includes sessions on topics such as new diagnostic biomarkers and their development, novel diagnostic techniques and next generation sequencing in the clinic.
