Niton XL2 Series Analyzers Deliver Positive Material Identification with Point and Shoot Simplicity
BILLERICA, Mass. (February 7, 2010)
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, will demonstrate the newest member of its family of Thermo Scientific Niton handheld XRF analyzers, the Niton® XL2 Series, at TMS 2010 taking place March 23-25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles, CA, booth #2009. The instruments of choice for metal alloy analysis, Niton analyzers have the ability to instantly regain lost material traceability. Thermo Fisher Scientific is the world's leading manufacturer of handheld x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers.
"With the introduction of the Niton XL2, we now offer a range of products to the aerospace, metal fabrication, foundry and related industries, which are engineered from the ground up to help eliminate any guesswork in verifying metal alloys for manufacturing quality assurance," said Bob Wopperer, director of marketing and business development for Thermo Scientific Niton Analyzers.
Wopperer continued, "We know that the potential for material mix-ups is very real and that the need for traceability is a priority. Our nondestructive analyzers can provide a worry-free solution that takes control of material verification, recovery of lost traceability, analysis of finished welds to validate filler material and dilution, and confirmation of finished products - all without damaging samples in any way, which can save both time and additional testing expense."
A Family of Thermo Scientific Niton XRF Analyzers
Handheld Niton XL2 and award-winning Niton XL3 Series XRF analyzers are purpose-built for alloy analysis anywhere, anytime, with accurate results available in seconds, saving significant expense in comparison to traditional laboratory testing. These easy-to-use, nondestructive instruments provide integral storage of all test results, in a completely tamperproof data format. Multiple communication options include Bluetooth* wireless, USB and RS-232 serial communication ports.
They also come standard with Thermo Scientific Niton Data Transfer (NDT©) software, a suite of data management utilities that allows users to set operator permissions, print certificates of analysis to document results or operate the analyzer remotely from a PC. The NDT file format preserves and protects the data from each sample analysis, ensuring that this data is not unintentionally or intentionally compromised.
Our customers are served through corporate resources and a dedicated network of more than 70 distributors and 30 factory-trained service centers around the world to provide the most effective customer service possible.
