MALDI MS with High Resolution / Accurate Mass Powered with OrbitrapTM Technology
In this webinar, high resolution / accurate mass performance of matrix-assisted laser desorption / ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry on Orbitrap-based instrumentation is presented, discussing the instrumental design with its MALDI intermediate pressure collisional cooling interface. Performance of the instrumentation is shown with regard to mass resolution, mass accuracy, sensitivity and dynamic range. The experimental setup for automatic gain control (AGC) in MALDI mode is provided. Application examples deriving from LC MALDI (proteomics) towards MALDI MS imaging of small molecules analyzed directly from tissue are also shown.
