Raman Spectroscopy diagnosis has recently found new relevance with the blossoming of the life science applications and the need for complementary structural information for sample characterisation.

Techniques like Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) or Spatially Offset Raman Spectroscopy (SORS), which have allowed access to rapid, non-destructive and reliable data acquisition processes, are now widely used by researchers as stand-alone diagnosis, or as a complement to Fluorescence or Absorption information.

So far, fast point detectors coupled to scanning hardware have represented the traditional rapid detection methods for Fluorescence and Absorption. The Raman technique can spread the information over multi-spectral regions for simultaneous acquisition, a process that is now accelerated by the unique sensitivity and speed of EMCCD cameras. Bringing simultaneous wavelength coverage and acquisition speed, they improve the performance of traditional mapping and real-time monitoring systems.

During this 20-minute interactive webinar, you will be shown why Research and Industry has a need for speed when using Raman techniques, focussing on the benefits of EMCCD detectors versus other detector technologies, for applications such as fast Raman mapping, Flow Cytometry and Hyper-Spectral Imaging.
