Selectively deposited silver coatings on gold-capped silicon nanowires for SERS Selectively deposited silver coatings on gold-capped silicon nanowires for SERS  [registered users only]
Gold caps on silicon nanowires have been selectively coated with silver by autometallography (electroless deposition) and the different morphologies achieved by changing the conditions of silver deposition were studied by SERS experiments. [July 3, 2009]

Systematic nano Raman Systematic nano Raman
Scientists in Israel and the US have demonstrated systematic differences in the Raman spectra of individual molecules adsorbed on small as opposed to large nanoparticles. The discovery has the potential to open up a new approach to single molecule studies. [July 1, 2009]

Biochemical correlation of Raman spectra of normal, benign and malignant breast tissues: A spectral deconvolution study Biochemical correlation of Raman spectra of normal, benign and malignant breast tissues: A spectral deconvolution study  [registered users only]
Spectral features and biochemical changes in normal, fibroadenoma and infiltrating ductal carcinoma of breast tissues measured using Raman spectra have been correlated using spectroscopic models developed earlier. [June 1, 2009]
