Waters has held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new mass spectrometry headquarters in Wilmslow, UK. Planned for completion in 2014, the headquarters is intended to provide a world-class center for innovation in mass spectrometry, and will house state-of-the-art customer demonstration laboratories, research and development capabilities, and an expanded manufacturing capacity. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by George Osborne MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, who said the new headquarters represented a vote of confidence in the British economy.
