Thermo Fisher Scientific has unveiled a variety of new chromatography products at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) conference, which is taking place in Vancouver, Canada, on 20–24 May. They include new liquid chromatography (LC) and gas chromatography (GC) systems, data processing software, nano-flow liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) solutions, and chromatography columns and consumables.

The Exactive Plus is a new LC-MS system for the high-throughout identification and quantification of compounds in complex matrices, and has been designed for use in applications such as food safety, environmental analysis and forensic toxicology. The TSQ 8000 is a triple quadrupole GC-MS system designed for routine analytical applications such as identifying food and environmental contaminants, while the TargetQuan 3 data processing software is meant to work with such GC-MS systems in detecting and measuring persistant organic pollutants such as dioxins, furans and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).

The company has also debuted the EASY-Spray nano-flow LC-MS system, which offers an effortless way to integrate LC columns with MS ion sources, as well as several new columns, catridges and plates, and syringe filters.
