Bruker has appointed René Lenggenhager as president of Bruker BioSpin, its magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) business, effective 1 November 2015.

Lenggenhager has over 25 years of management experience in international high-tech companies and in the scientific instruments industry, where his responsibilities have included general management with profit and loss responsibility for a global business, marketing, R&D and global operations.

He comes to Bruker from the precision instrument company METTLER TOLEDO, where he has served as general manager for laboratory weighing since 2004. He holds a PhD in physics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, a Bachelor of Science in electronics from the University of Applied Sciences NTB and an executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen, all in Switzerland.
