This webinar introduces and discusses the technique of Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering, or SERS. SERS brings million-fold increases in sensitivity to the Raman technique, enabling extremely small samples and low concentration analyses. The technique makes possible significant improvements in the accuracy and speed of many diagnostic and biological analyses.
Recent instrumentation and sampling tools enable the SERS technique to move from the research laboratory into routine settings where everyday problems solvers from clinical to forensic labs can use the technique - all without spectroscopic expertise. This presentation covers basic concepts and theory of SERS, current instrumentation and software. We survey applications ranging from simple low concentration analysis to advanced techniques involving complex samples such as biomolecules. We cover the analysis and classification of micro-RNA (miRNA) and DNA.
You've heard about breakthroughs using SERS for extremely low concentration testing, immunoassay replacement, and other advances possible with Raman. Learn how SERS is advancing and becoming more accessible for everyday analysis by attending this informative webinar.
