Streamlining method development and increasing productivity with the simultaneous analysis of volatile organic compounds and 1,4-Dioxane in Water

Date: Sep 25, 2018 - 15:00

1,4-Dioxane and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) frequently co-occur in contaminated groundwater. In this webinar, a new, efficient, and sensitive method for the combined detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and 1,4-dioxane in a wide range of aqueous matrices will be introduced. Moreover, the power of multiple reaction monitoring to resolve interferences in the analysis of mixtures of VOCs and 1,4-dioxane will be demonstrated

Analytical Chemistry to Quantify Municipal Wastewater Treatment Technology Performance and Benefits to Environmental Health

Date: May 24, 2017 - 15:00

Continuous improvements in GC/MS and LC/MS have revealed a stunning array of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) in municipal wastewaters. What is known from global studies is that exposure to biologically active compounds, even at ng/L concentrations, can impact endocrine systems in nature and manifest as negative impacts like altered gene regulation, the presence of mixed reproductive tissues (intersex) and skewed sex ratios. Advancing Canadian Wastewater Assets (ACWA) is a research...

Analysis of Environmental Contaminants in Water Using an Agilent 6470 LC/TQ Instrument

Date: Apr 12, 2017 - 15:00

The analytical demands for detecting organic contaminants in water at low ng/L level have pushed the development of new methodologies using LC/TQ instrumentation. In this regard, and in the last few years, advances in sensitivity and selectivity have made this challenge possible. This webinar will focus on the use of the new 6470 LC-MS-MS from Agilent Technologies for the sub ng/L level detection of several pharmaceuticals and pesticides in surface waters. Examples of optimization of several source...
