Featured here are the lecture notes given by Professor James Keeler of the University of Cambridge during his visit to the University of California, Irvine, in 2002.
The course is divided into 9 chapters, each covering a different topic. Each chapter has some exercises associated with it. You are advised to read Chapter 1 first to get an idea of what the course is about.
The "chapters" can be downloaded from here (as PDF files).
- Chapter 1: What this course is about
- Chapter 2: NMR and energy levels
- Chapter 3: The vector model
- Chapter 4: Fourier transformation and data processing
- Chapter 5: How the spectrometer works
- Chapter 6: Product operators
- Chapter 7: Two-Dimensional NMR
- Chapter 8: Relaxation
- Advanced topic: Chapter 9: Phase cyling and gradient pulses
