The program has been announced for the 5th in the series of Beyond the Genome conferences which is scheduled to take place in Boston on 8-10 October 2014. Entitled Beyond the Genome: Cancer Genomics, it will cover a range of topics from the biology of cancer genomes to cancer systems and networks. The meeting will also discuss potential therapies and the translation of genomes into clinical use. There will also be a bioinformatics day, asin previous conferences.

The seven principal sessions are:

  • Cancer genomics and epigenomics – large scale discovery
  • Biology from cancer genomics
  • Integrated, systems and network approaches
  • Translation and clinical application
  • Beyond the cancer genome
  • Bioinformatic analysis of cancer genomes
  • Data visualization and big data challenges

The conference is hosted by the open-access publications Genome Medicine and Genome Biology.
