Lothar Rottmar: Biography
Lothar joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in 1992, holding positions in R&D, Software Development, Support management and most recently Product Management. During his time in R&D as a project manager, Lothar was responsible for the development of the industry standard ELEMENT2 and ELEMENT XR magnetic sector field ICP-MS instruments, as well as the ELEMENT GD, a glow discharge mass spectrometer. Most recently, as Product Manager for ICP-MS, Lothar has been responsible for the development and launch of the iCAP Q quadrupole ICP-MS.
Lothar has a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Regensburg.

Julian Wills: Biography
Julian has over 20 years experience in ICP-MS, including both high resolution and quadrupole systems. He spent 5 years as a research assistant at the NERC ICP-MS Facility, United Kingdom before accepting a post-doctoral position at Université de Montpellier II, France. Upon completion of his post-doc, Julian joined Thermo Fisher where he has spent the past 15 years working with the complete ICP-MS product range, including the recent iCAP Q quadrupole release.
