The incidence for most diseases classified as ‘lifestyle diseases’ such as diabetes, arteriosclerosis, and cancer is constantly increasing. New analysis techniques including confocal Raman imaging extend the ability of biomedical and pharmaceutical researchers to comprehensively investigate those diseases and support the development of novel diagnostic tools and treatments.

This webinar will introduce the principles of state-of-the-art confocal Raman imaging as a tool for analyzing the chemical and molecular characteristics of a sample three-dimensionally, internally and at the surface of the sample. Through various examples from basic research to applied science you will learn how to greatly enhance your investigations by applying 3D confocal Raman imaging for non-invasive and non-destructive analyses. The webinar will also introduce the operational principles of this microscopic technique, shedding light on the frontiers of spatial and spectral resolution.

  • Gain insight into confocal Raman imaging in biomedical and pharmaceutical research and other life sciences
  • Learn more about the principle of ultrasensitive confocal Raman imaging for high-resolution 3D chemical and molecular imaging
  • Experience how to routinely perform state-of-the-art Raman imaging to set the benchmark in your field of application
