Like many of you, I recently saw the announcement of the high-resolution image of olympicene at the atomic level, obtained by non-contact atomic force microscopy. It got me thinking about other molecules that have been given trivial names that are somehow derived from their structure, shape or properties.

So, here is the first in an occasional series of puzzles for you. Can you guess the trivial name of this compound and, if you are feeling particualrly clever, can you take a stab at its systematic name? No prizes for correct answers, just a bit of fun, and I'll post the answer in a few days.

What is my trivial name?
