Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched a new suite of scholarships aimed at providing educational opportunities for future generations of US scientists. The Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship Program includes two US$10,000 scholarships and four US$5,000 scholarships for the 2012–13 academic year, and is open to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or a related life science field.
'By encouraging the next generation of doctors, scientists and researchers through this program, we hope to ensure that there will always be bright, talented individuals with innovative ideas joining our industry as customers and employees,' says Jeff Lee, commercial director for Thermo Scientific Pierce immunoassay products.
