Automating mass spectrometry based glycan identification and quantitation using SimGlycan software

This webinar provides an introduction to SimGlycan software for high throughput glycan identification and quantitation. We show examples of the use of the software for LC-MS/MS workflows for 2-AB labelled glycans, processing data for quantitative workflows using the recently introduced Thermo Scientific™ Tandem Mass Tag™ Reagents. In an effort toward rapid profiling and identification of glycans, we have developed web based software modules to facilitate construction of custom databases.

Respiratory mass spectrometry has been adapted to continuously measure O2 consumption and CO2 production in the gas exchange across the extracorporeal membrane oxygenator and the ventilator for paediatric patients.

Two evaluation functions are proposed for the reconstructed electron-density images in X-ray crystallography, the first based on the atomicity of the electron-density distribution and properties of Fourier synthesis and the second based on the positivity of electron density and constrained power spectrum entropy maximization.

The interactions of a dicarbocyanine dye, 3,3′-diethylthiadicarbocyanine, with DNA G-quadruplexes were studied by a combination of various spectroscopic techniques.
