Automating mass spectrometry based glycan identification and quantitation using SimGlycan software

This webinar provides an introduction to SimGlycan software for high throughput glycan identification and quantitation. We show examples of the use of the software for LC-MS/MS workflows for 2-AB labelled glycans, processing data for quantitative workflows using the recently introduced Thermo Scientific™ Tandem Mass Tag™ Reagents. In an effort toward rapid profiling and identification of glycans, we have developed web based software modules to facilitate construction of custom databases.

This review comments on the challenges facing the conventional MALDI-MS technique and its upgrading by the introduction of nano-based techniques which can shift MALDI-MS from the lab to the bedside.

A comparison of the MRI features of primary fallopian tube carcinoma and primary epithelial ovarian cancer has shown that the technique can differentiate between the two conditions.

The proteome of poplar trees grown on grassland that had been irrigated for 40 years with starch wastewater from the potato industry reflected less abiotic stress than poplars grown in a forest, which suffered from phosphate ion deficiency.
