Innovative approaches to improve performance and productivity of PerkinElmer ICP-OES and ICP-MS systems

This presentation outlines how some innovative Agilent products can help improve the performance and productivity of PerkinElmer ICP-OES and ICP-MS systems. We’ll illustrate the performance advantages by comparing performance indicators such as Limit of Detection, wash-out and memory effects, and sample to sample analysis times.

Low-field NMR relaxation measurements have been used to reveal the composition of crude oil, offering a low-cost method that can be used under poor working conditions in the field and in the wellbore.

An ICP-OES method was developed as a low-cost alternative to isotope dilution ICP-MS for measuring K and Cu in infant formula, using an exact matrix-matching approach to minimize biases due to matrix mismatch.

Raman spectral analysis and mechanical tests were carried out on the horns of buffalo, cattle and sheep to study the molecular compositions and their correlation with biomechanical properties as potential biomaterial scaffolds.

Peptide Hormones in Sports Drug Testing: Detection of Emerging Protein/Peptide Based Drugs by Means of LC-MS

Date: Nov 10, 2016 - 15:00

Therapeutic proteins and peptides have emerged as one of the most important classes of new pharmaceuticals. Several drug candidates with potential performance-enhancing properties are currently in preclinical or clinical development. The current version of the WADA Prohibited List includes a variety of protein/peptide-based doping agents, some of which can be detected in biological samples by using immunological and mass spectrometry-based approaches.
