The biotechnology group of the UK Society of Chemical Industry is holding a free event entitled 'New Challenges and Approaches to Drug Detection in Animal Sport' at the University of Westminster, London, on Friday 7 December. The event will discuss how chromatography and mass spectrometry are being used to improve drug detection in animal sports such as horse and greyhound racing, including using alternative sample matrices like hair and detecting designer drugs.
