US company Pembroke Instruments has developed an optical spectrometer the size and shape of a USB memory stick. According to the company, the Qstick is the ultimate in spectrometer miniaturization, with a resolution of 1nm across the visible spectral range, and can be used for applications such as field spectroscopy, light measurement, environmental studies and spectroscopy eduction.
