The 29th meeting ot the prestigious LC/MS Montreux Symposium will be taking place this year in the Montreux Music and Convention Center on November 7-9. A special joint parallel program has been prepared in collaboration with the Metabolomics Society that will address the technology and novel systems-based biology approaches in pharma, nutrition, clinical chemistry, plant sciences and medical biology. The program will include the Roland W. Frei Lecture, given this year by Prof. Dr. Jan Smeitink and entitled "Omics technologies and Bioenergetics: application to human disease", as well as two plenary lectures and two keynote lectures.

The symposium will be preceded on November 5-6 by three short courses entitled

  • Practical LC/MS: Fundamentals, Techniques and Applications
  • Advanced Interpretation of CID Mass Spectra from LC/MS/MS
  • Developing a Systematic Methodology for Spectral Interpretation; Metabolomics meets Clinical Chemistry
